The country has eight main ports that lead cargo movement, with more than 250,000 square meters of dry and refrigerated warehouses around the Port of Río Haina and 110,000 square meters at the Multimodal Port of Caucedo, which are in the process of expansion. The Dominican Republic is recognized for its high maritime connectivity, being the second most competitive country in Latin America in logistics costs and the third most competitive country in maritime connectivity according to the Logistics Performance Index (LPI) 2023.
